Luxury kitchen and bath remodeling for Middlefield’s country properties near Lyman Orchards and Powder Ridge.
Middlefield’s country properties, from the homes near Lyman Orchards and Powder Ridge to those around Lake Beseck, are a natural fit for truly high-end kitchens and baths. As HandyWorks Remodeling, we design and build luxury kitchen and bathroom renovations across Middlefield, bringing premium materials, custom craftsmanship, and detailed design to create chef’s kitchens and spa-inspired baths that feel exceptional. A luxury renovation is defined by its details, and we obsess over them. Whether you are reimagining the heart of the home or a private primary retreat, one team manages the entire project so the result is cohesive, refined, and built to the highest standard.
A luxury renovation is an investment in craftsmanship, so the team and the details matter as much as the materials. We bring a portfolio of high-end kitchens and baths, clear schedules, and well-managed, respectful job sites. We are licensed and insured in Connecticut, we manage the permits, and we get the hidden work right so the finishes last. We hold the whole project to a consistent, elevated standard, communicate clearly throughout, and stand behind our work, which is why so many Middlefield clients come to us by referral for their most important spaces. For a renovation of this caliber, that track record matters more than any sales pitch.
A luxury kitchen starts with a layout designed around how you actually cook and gather, then brings in the materials and craftsmanship that set it apart. We design chef-worthy kitchens with generous islands, premium natural stone or quartz, statement lighting, and cabinetry built to fit the room precisely. Our custom cabinets are built to the room’s exact dimensions, which matters in Middlefield’s older country homes where nothing is quite standard, delivering the storage, proportions, and fine detailing a high-end kitchen demands. We integrate paneled and professional-grade appliances and plan the lighting in layers, so the kitchen is as functional as it is beautiful.
A high-end kitchen or bath renovation involves many trades and endless fine details, and we manage all of them. Part of our full range of our services, a luxury remodel covers design, demolition, custom cabinetry, stone, tile, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and finish carpentry. We begin with a detailed design and material selections, pull the permits, and coordinate every trade so the work is executed to the highest standard from rough-in to final reveal. One team carries the project from the first drawing to the final walkthrough, so even a detailed renovation stays organized and on schedule.
A luxury primary bath is a private retreat, and Middlefield’s larger country homes are ideal for creating one. We design baths with expansive walk-in showers, freestanding soaking tubs, double vanities, heated floors, and refined stone and tile. Our custom vanities are built to the room’s dimensions for the storage and detailing a high-end bath deserves, all over proper waterproofing so the beauty lasts. We bring the same craftsmanship to luxury baths in neighboring Middletown, scaled to each home.
Middlefield is part of our service area, and our crews take on luxury renovations across the surrounding towns. We work in Meriden and Cheshire as well, bringing the same craftsmanship and attention to detail to each. Working locally keeps us attentive and responsive throughout a detailed, high-end build, and it means we already know the area’s homes and the permitting process, which helps keep the quality consistent from design through the final reveal.
Every project begins with a conversation. Share a few details and we’ll be in touch within one business day to schedule your in-home consultation.

It is the integration of thoughtful design, premium materials, quality fixtures, and precise craftsmanship. A luxury space is not defined by cost alone; it is how well every element is planned and built to work together. In a kitchen, that might mean a stone island, custom cabinetry, and professional appliances; in a bath, a spa shower, a soaking tub, and refined tile. We help you invest where it matters so the result feels genuinely custom and cohesive, and the details you notice over time are what set a truly high-end space apart.
Yes, and it is what we do best. We design the kitchen around your home and how you cook, then build it with custom cabinetry, premium stone, integrated appliances, and detailed finishes, all tailored to the space. Nothing is off-the-shelf; the layout, materials, and detailing are chosen specifically for your home. That level of customization is what separates a designed, high-end kitchen from one assembled from stock parts, and Middlefield’s larger country homes give us the room to do it exceptionally well.
We work with natural stone like marble, quartzite, and granite, as well as premium quartz, and we will guide you through the look and upkeep of each. Natural stone offers one-of-a-kind beauty, and we seal it properly and advise on care so it stays stunning. For high-traffic areas, we might suggest quartzite or quartz for durability with a similar look. The right choice balances the dramatic beauty you want with how the surface is used, so your luxury finishes stay as impressive as they are on day one.
Yes, and Middlefield’s larger homes are ideal for it. We design primary baths with spacious walk-in showers, freestanding soaking tubs, double vanities, heated floors, and refined tile and fixtures, all built over proper waterproofing so the beauty lasts. We balance the features you want against the room’s footprint so it feels indulgent without being crowded. A well-designed primary bath becomes a genuine retreat, and getting the layout, materials, and craftsmanship right is what makes it both beautiful and durable.
High-end work takes time to do right. Custom cabinetry, stone fabrication, and detailed tile all have real lead times, and projects run several weeks to a few months depending on scope. We give you a realistic schedule up front and keep you updated as the project progresses, and we plan around material lead times rather than rushing craftsmanship. On a renovation of this caliber, the time invested in the details is exactly what delivers a result you will enjoy for years.
Yes. We are a licensed and insured Connecticut remodeling company, and we pull the proper permits for the work. That protects your home and ensures the plumbing, electrical, and structural work is inspected and up to code, which matters even on a high-end finish. We are glad to provide our credentials and references from completed luxury projects, so you can move forward knowing exactly who you are trusting with your renovation.
Let us talk about the high-end kitchen or bath you have in mind, your materials, and what fits your home and timeline. We will walk through the space, discuss the possibilities, and lay out what the project would involve, with no pressure to commit. Contact us to arrange a consultation.
